Starlit Splash

I have been waiting to attend this event since I first learned about the College Program. Starlit Splash is when Disney rents out Typhoon Lagoon for a night and only the current college program participants can attend. It is a send-off event for the spring semester. The event went from 7 pm and lasted until midnight, allowing many of those working that night the ability to still make it for part of the event. We got to ride many of the slides Typhoon Lagoon has, but my favorite part was floating in the lazy river with all of my roommates. We were laughing and making memories the whole time, it is a night I will never forget!

Work can be overwhelming and was starting to take over my life, but this event allowed me to forget about all of that and just have fun in a Disney park with about 5,000 other people. I did not know what to expect and was not sure how long we would stay there. My roommates and I were all off so we went together. We got there around 7 and did not leave until the event was almost over! There was a lot to do and it was a ton of fun. They have free food, which was okay, but the best part was the free unlimited Mickey bars and ice cream sandwiches. If you are doing the spring college program and are unsure if you will like this event, I recommend you go for just an hour and hey you may stay the whole time!
