To start off my week, I flew home to New York on the 29th because my Grandfather passed away. Luckily, I already had the 29th and 30th off and my managers were even able to give me an extra day to be with my family. I thought about skipping the trip because I wasn’t sure how my managers were going to react but I’m so glad I talked to them about it. They were so understanding. I’m really glad I was able to go home as all my other cousins were there. It was an unfortunate circumstance but it was nice to see them all.
When it was time for me to fly back to Florida, I had an unnerving feeling. This is the first time in my life that I was anxious about going to Disney. I knew that on the other end of that plane ride, I had to finish up my training and start my assessment. Disney has always been a my happy place so this was such an odd feeling for me! But, I found hope in the fact that I have a job waiting for me. Time to pass my assessment!
